We climb the innumerable steps of this impressive watchtower and suddenly:
4 screens, 4 faces looking at us, surrounded by a din of voices. One has to get closer and perk up one’s ears to understand what they are saying.
They are the curators for the museums who are part of the INTERSECTIONS route, interviewed by Daniel Locus, talking about their functions and their vision for the museum project of which they are part.
Straddling the line between proper discourse and indistinct noise, this work calls into question the differences and similarities of a curator’s duties.

Did you know?
With its 257 stone steps from the 12th century, a jewel of Tournai architecture, listed as UNESCO world heritage, this belfry is the oldest in Belgium!
A landmark building with a height of 72 metres, it offers the most spectacular view of the town and its surrounding area. Successively used as watchtower, prison, bell tower, town hall, … the belfry symbolizes the city’s liberties and its bell, dubbed ‘Bancloque’, warned residents of trials, executions, invasions, or fires.
The structure saw a ten-year renovation (1992-2002), and today one can discover its history by means of educational panels, or by visiting the prison cells, the carillon player’s quarters, and the carillon itself which regales the city with its music every Sunday and in the summer season.
