URBAN WORKS BY DANY DANINO

Capture-oeuvre-urbaine

INTERSECTIONS will leave its mark on the streets of Tournai thanks to a work by Dany Danino on the wall of the entryway to the Musée de Folklore et des Imaginaires.

This urban installation will be composed of numerous drawings referencing the iconic elements of the “city of 5 bell towers” and the objects held in the collections of the museum.

A sort of patchwork of folklore and traditions from Tournaisis for all to discover or rediscover. The contours of this ceramic fresco in blue and white, a nod to Tournai porcelain, evoke the characteristic outline of the city’s ancient citadel.

The project was warded the Prix de la Commission des Arts de Wallonie 2019. The work is currently being created and will be ready by late June / early July.
